Who We Are

HQ Carpentry is a licensed and insured remodeling company in Chicago, founded in 2011 by Tomasz Pietrzyk. We remodel kitchens, bathrooms, basements and whole homes across the city and the suburbs.

We publish this site to help homeowners plan their projects. This page explains who writes our content, how we check it and how to tell us if something is wrong.

Who Writes Our Content

Service and location pages are written for our business and based on the work we do in Chicago-area homes: the layouts, materials, permits and questions homeowners bring up during our estimates.

Blog articles are drafted with the help of AI writing tools through the Adaptify content platform. The HQ Carpentry team reviews each article before it is published, checks that the advice matches how we actually work, and removes anything that does not.

How We Check Facts

We follow a few simple rules:

• Permits and codes: we rely on official sources such as the City of Chicago Department of Buildings and village building departments. Rules change and differ by town, so we ask readers to confirm the details for their own project.
• No made-up numbers: we do not publish invented statistics, reviews or project claims.
• Costs: we explain what drives the price of a project. An exact price comes only as a written quote after a free in-home visit.
• Sources: when we rely on an outside source, we link to it.

Photos

Photos in the project galleries on our service and location pages, and in our Gallery, show work by our team. Other images on the site, including many blog images, are stock or illustrative photos and are not presented as our projects.

Reviews and Ratings

We only quote the rating and reviews that customers have left on public platforms such as Google. We do not write reviews ourselves.

Updates and Corrections

We review our pages when rules, products or our services change. Blog articles show the date they were last updated.
